I just subscribed to your podcast so I haven't listened to a full episode yet. I plan to listen to a few on my drive to work over the next few days to get a real feel for your content.

Still though, I was compelled to comment because my immediate impression upon listening to a sample of your show was poor audio, which could be a result of poor quality equipment or equipment which is just not being used properly.

I am in no way seeking to criticize since even after a brief sample I anticipate some good info. I'm only letting you know because first impressions are so very important. The topic of your show makes it all the more important that your audio quality lends credibility to your actual teachings regarding voice coaching.

Okay, I've listened to several episodes and my initial thoughts were correct and understated on both counts. First, you have some EXCELLENT content. Second, your audio quality is inexcusably poor. Take this harsh criticism anyway you like, but if I am really interested in your content and I find it hard to listen to, how many others do you think stopped listening before you could get them hooked because the audio quality made it difficult or even painful?

Jesse James has a powerful voice. That's fantastic! Now get him a mic and learn how to use skype. Jesse talks in one episode about how the microphone amplifies whatever you put into it. Well, a phone is not a good microphone. While he is doing a fantastic job of projecting and speaking in a manner that is engaging, all of that gets distorted by the tinny, screechy, compressed audio quality of a telephone.

After Jan joins the show, the entire production seems to go downhill... why is this? Scott sounded better (not fantastic) in the earlier episodes. What did you start doing differently?

This is so important. What good is vocal prowess is production quality is so bad it negates any advantage you give yourself by working on your ability to speak. Don't let the tools cripple your ability to get your message across. I'm here because I want to learn how to make my podcast more engaging. The least you can do is make yours easier on the ears!
